About the Badge

The Triangle Trekker Badge challenges Scouts to embrace one of quilting’s most dynamic shapes. This badge builds confidence in cutting, piecing, and aligning triangle-based quilt blocks.

Badge Requirements

• Learn about different types of triangle units, such as half-square triangles, quarter-square triangles, half-rectangle triangles or equilateral triangles
• Practice accurate cutting and trimming of triangle units.
• Create at least three triangle-based quilt blocks.
• Assemble the blocks into a small project or quilt top section.
• Reflect on challenges encountered and how you improved accuracy or alignment.

Badge Options

Embroidered Patch

The embroidered patch consists of high-quality embroidery on a twill backing. The patch measures 2″ x 2″. The patch has a Pellon interfacing on the back to cover embroidery threads and is intended to be sewn-on. It is not an iron-on patch.

Vinyl Sticker

The sticker is a thick and durable vinyl that is weatherproof and waterproof. Vinyl sticker measures 2″ x 2″.
