About the Badge

The Quilting Bee Badge celebrates the community spirit of quilting and the tradition of working together to create beautiful, meaningful quilts. This badge encourages Scouts to participate in collaborative quilting efforts, develop teamwork skills, and experience the joy of creating something greater than any individual could achieve alone.

Badge Requirements

• Participate in a quilting bee, either in-person or virtually, that involves two or more people working on the same quilt.
• Make at least one quilt block that will be added to a larger collaborative quilt project.
• Bonus: Contribute the group quilt or another project to a charity or community organization in need.

Badge Options

Embroidered Patch

The embroidered patch consists of high-quality embroidery on a twill backing. The patch measures 2″ x 2″. The patch has a Pellon interfacing on the back to cover embroidery threads and is intended to be sewn-on. It is not an iron-on patch.

Vinyl Sticker

The sticker is a thick and durable vinyl that is weatherproof and waterproof. Vinyl sticker measures 2″ x 2″.
