About the Badge

The Quilted Garment Badge celebrates the creative fusion of quilting and fashion, encouraging Scouts to construct a wearable quilted item. This badge pushes Scouts to apply their quilting skills in a new way. It fosters creativity, skill-building, and experimentation with texture, structure, and design, resulting in a unique, handcrafted piece of clothing.

Badge Requirements

• Choose a pattern for a quilted garment.
• Plan the quilted sections of the garment.
• Quilt the fabric using your preferred method.
• Assemble the garment using your quilted fabric, following the pattern instructions.
• Once completed, wear your quilted garment and take photos of the finished piece.

Badge Options

Embroidered Patch

The embroidered patch consists of high-quality embroidery on a twill backing. The patch measures 2″ x 2″. The patch has a Pellon interfacing on the back to cover embroidery threads and is intended to be sewn-on. It is not an iron-on patch.

Vinyl Sticker

The sticker is a thick and durable vinyl that is weatherproof and waterproof. Vinyl sticker measures 2″ x 2″.
