About the Badge
The National Quilt Museum Badge is designed to enrich scouts’ understanding of quilting as an important cultural and artistic practice. By visiting the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, Kentucky, scouts are given the opportunity to view firsthand an expansive collection of modern and antique quilts, enhancing their appreciation for the diversity and evolution of quilting techniques and styles.
Badge Requirements
- Plan and participate in a trip to the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, Kentucky.
- During the visit, attend at least one guided tour or educational program offered by the museum.
- Select three quilts or exhibitions that particularly interest you and document through notes or photographs.
- Reflect on how this visit has impacted your view of quilting and any new techniques or ideas you would like to explore in your own quilting projects.

Badge Options
Embroidered Patch
The embroidered patch consists of high-quality embroidery on a twill backing. The patch measures 2″ x 2″. The patch has a Pellon interfacing on the back to cover embroidery threads and is intended to be sewn-on. It is not an iron-on patch.
Vinyl Sticker
The sticker is a thick and durable vinyl that is weatherproof and waterproof. Vinyl sticker measures 2″ x 2″.
